Join us for a series of small group discussions to build bridges and cultivate a better understanding of the issues at stake in this year’s elections. Together, we can wield civic power for change in 2020 and beyond. 

Our final conversation of the month is entitled How To Become A More Informed Voter: A Conversation with Maria Yuan, Founder of IssueVoter.

Maria Yuan is passionate about fixing significant, systemic problems by leveraging creativity and determination to achieve world-changing results and impact. As the founder of IssueVoter, Maria’s mission is to enable equity by giving everyone a voice in our representative democracy. Maria’s writing has appeared in Real Clear Politics, The Hill, and Huffington Post, and she has spoken at conferences, companies, and universities across the U.S. on civic engagement, technology, and democracy.

IssueVoter is a nonpartisan, online platform and your guide to contacting Congress. IssueVoter makes civic engagement accessible with alerts before Congress votes gives individuals a voice by sending opinions directly to their Representative, and keeps Congress accountable by providing a personalized scorecard of your Rep’s votes.
